Las revanchas
García Roldán, Ángel
It all starts with an attack. An irrepressible desire for revenge. That is the framework on which this fast-paced novel is built, which crudely shows how much people can change when life corners them, plunging them into the abyss of despair. Unai is a thoughtful and calm teenager who suddenly, one night, is ambushed by Fate: he witnesses the execution of his father and is wounded himself. From then on, all the events of his life will be marked by that tragic moment, and revenge will be the ultimate goal to which any event, any relationship, any future project will be subjected. In Las revanchas, that first revenge catches all the characters in its net, who, in turn, also plot their own rematches. Some are mere outbursts caused by minor offenses. Others, however, are serious, cruel, planned and executed with cold precision. And Destiny plays its own game of multi-cushion billiards.
