Calpurnia Pearson loves her family, but there are times when she wishes she could stop being a mother and wife and just be herself: Nia. At thirty-five years old, she feels cloistered in routine by the responsibilities of adult life. She is also frustrated that her efforts to advance at the publishing house where she works are not rewarded, since she has been in the same position for years and it seems that nothing is going to change. However, she is wrong. One of her bosses retires and is replaced by Oliver, an attractive young man who immediately appreciates her talent and with whom she will find herself trapped in an unthinkable situation; which could lead Nia to come to terms with her life.
