Lo que el viento se llevó

Mitchell, Margaret

Scarlett O'Hara lives in Tara, a large plantation in the southern state of Georgia, and is in love with Ashley Wilkes, that soon she will marry Melanie Hamilton. We are in 1861, on the brink of the Civil War, and all the young Southerners are enthusiastic about going into combat, except for the attractive adventurer Rhett Butler. Butler likes Scarlett, but she is still in love with Ashley, who has just announced her engagement to Melanie. Displeased, Scarlett accepts the marriage proposal of Charles, the brother of Melanie, whom she despises. Years later, and as a consequence of the end of the war, already a widow, Scarlett must face situations new as hunger, pain and loss and settle in Atlanta, where Melanie awaits news and Ashley and Butler appears again...
