Maganta

Mary Pain, a woman on the border between youth and maturity, is forced to return to her parents' home due to the economic crisis. She returns to her town after more than a decade without stepping on it, to that stale place with crushing heat from which she fled to live far from family secrets and what they will say. She will have to face the weight of not fitting in, prejudice, failure and loneliness. But Mary Pain is determined to put a face to her past, uncover the thick veils that were drawn too long ago, and give herself one last chance. "Throat", a term in disuse but common in the author's area of origin, is used to refer to lazy, thoughtful, weak people. The protagonist carries that backpack of adjectives on her back, until she begins to release them and rise like an inflatable balloon, in danger of igniting.
