Ximena is the false Countess, a cover to protect the last member of the Illustrious royal family. His people lost everything when the usurper, Atoc, used an ancient relic to drive the Illustrious from The City. Ximena is driven by a thirst for revenge and a peculiar ability to weave magical tapestries with the light of the moon. When Atoc asks the Countess for her hand in marriage, it is Ximena's duty to go in her place. She will take this opportunity to find that mysterious relic and return the true aristocrat to her rightful place. However, when a masked vigilante, a kind princess and an attentive healer challenge Ximena, her mission is complicated. There could be another way to overthrow the usurper without having to start a new war, but only if Ximena turns her back on the rebellion and her Countess.
