Mensajes de un mundo olvidado

Mensajes de un mundo olvidado

Zweig, Stefan

Messages from a forgotten world collects for the first time in our language ten texts of diverse origins, articles, essays, conferences, that the author wrote between the years 1914 and 1940. Some of these texts become heartbreaking memories of a world that was coming to an end , before the inevitable advance of the barbarism of war. However, in those years of darkness, alienation and fear that overshadowed the old continent during the first half of the 20th century, some, like Stefan Zweig, raised their voices in pursuit of harmony and unity, rejecting the sectarianism and fanaticism of the exacerbated totalitarianisms and nationalisms that spread across Europe in a spiral of unparalleled violence.
