Metamorfosis

The Metamorphoses is one of the major works of universal poetry; it narrates the changes of gods, men and women in animals, plants or minerals, from the origins of the world to the transformation into a star of Julius Caesar's soul. The stories, written in a light and very sensual way, are the most obvious example of the talent, erudition and fantasy of the poet, who gathered all the previous mythological tradition. Since its inception, the book has become a veritable vademecum and the most important source of mythological information for writers and artists.
