Mis estúpidas ideas

Zannoni, Bernardo

Here is the long and troubled life of a weasel, told in his own handwriting. Born into poverty, fatherless and son of a large family, young Archy soon learns the harsh law of the animal kingdom. After being crippled due to a fall, unable to hunt and fend for himself in a forest full of dangers, his mother does not hesitate to exchange him for a chicken and a half. From then on, Archy will live at the service of Solomon the usurer, an old and fearsome fox who reveals to him the word of God and teaches him to read and write. This secret knowledge makes him a miracle of biology, but also a weirdo who does not fit anywhere. How to reconcile his wildest instincts with his pressing ethical dilemmas, typical of a human? His desire for freedom and transcendence of him with his desire to be an animal like the others? This autobiography constitutes his attempt to unravel his peculiar fate through the written word.
