The Bakaya tribe have lived in the African bush for generations. Emeko, an 11-year-old Aboriginal boy, begins to grow older and acquires more responsibilities in the tribe. His growth coincides with the arrival of some loggers who devastate the jungle with their big machines and do not respect nature. Emeko is torn between fascination and surprise at seeing that they do not take into account the well-being of the jungle.
