Músika
Azpeitia, Javier
Musika is a historical novel set in ancient Greece (late 5th century BC, in the last period of the Peloponnesian War) that tells us about the last years of Euripides' life and the dark circumstances in which he died. Through a fictional character -Mora, a water priestess turned into a slave by the vicissitudes of her life-, the author recreates life in the court of wise men of Archelaus of Macedonia and recreates the intrigues and envies between poets, philosophers and other participants of the «Banquet of the lucky ones». An adventure story by the protagonist, and a dazzling recreation of classical Athens, through theatrical authors, and the artists' courts in a narrative full of mythological and historical references.
