Naturalismo
la metafísica de la ciencia
Mahner, Martin
This book focuses -writes the German philosopher Martin Mahner, a disciple of Mario Bunge- on metaphysical or ontological naturalism: the idea that there is only one world consisting of natural objects subject to laws. In a negative formulation: there are no supernatural entities. The theme of this book is the relationship of science with naturalism and supranaturalism. Since in philosophy the reflection on such basic conditions or assumptions corresponds to metaphysics, naturalism becomes a 'metaphysics of the natural sciences'. Strictly speaking, becomes metaphysics of all the sciences that empirically investigate the objects or systems of the real world.
