New York, 1884. The young electrical engineer Nikola Tesla arrives in the United States from Paris, where he works for the Continental Edison Company. He is accompanied by an assistant of Irish descent and his obsession with developing the AC motor, which will be more efficient in the distribution of electricity over long distances than the direct current generators used by Thomas Alva Edison. Whoever should have been a leading figure of the twentieth century, awaits a fierce struggle to survive, despite those who try to discredit their inventions, ideas or initiatives. Narrated from the perspective of his fictional collaborator, "Nikola Tesla i els homes que no estimaven els coloms" skewed the inventor's personality to delve into the suburbs of New York where immigrants subjected to police abuses, emerging mafias and trade unionists on the brink of a thriving capitalism. This novel demonstrates one more mystery surrounding the life of the magician of light: did Nikola Tesla leave encrypted in figures a message for the human beings of the future with the day and time of the worst apocalypse of his time? Confirming this would force us to rethink the relationship with time of man who patented, a hundred years earlier, the foundations of the great technological discoveries of our day.
