Nit americana

Martori, Marina

American night is a cinematic technique that tries to transform day into night so that it can record night scenes when it is still day. It is a lie, a falsehood, a deception. When Blanca receives the news that her father is dead, something inside her cracks. He doesn't understand why it affects him so much. She has had very little contact with her father and Blanca has a stable and happy life. Or so it seems. From memory to memory, from childhood to the present, as a reviewer of a filmography, and from conversation to conversation, as a proofreader, Blanca looks back and wonders why love, especially what you do not receive , it hurts so much. Maybe Blanca's life has always been like this, an American night. A falsehood, a lie, a hoax... and maybe that should change.
