A pope dreams of God's resignation, a young writer tries to narrate the end of the rural world, a man searches the depths of the sea to get away from the atrocities on the surface, a couple reaches the seventh continent, formed by the accumulation of plastic, that material that can deprive us of a future... The characters that populate this book attend, sometimes strangers, others surprised and almost always melancholic, to the messages that the Earth shouts: that we are facing a new era, that of its transformation by human action and change in relationships between people brought about by technological advances. There is no truce possible: there is a new world under construction, there is a planet in destruction.
