Morgan is a quirky boy. As a baby, he appeared in a basket in front of Mrs. Culpepper's house along with a note that said, "Take me beyond the fog. Find the house of the three sisters and tell them that I am the child of fire. On his right shoulder always goes Luminaria, a small flame that only he can see and with whom he can talk. One morning, the city is covered by a thick fog that does not rise. Without a trace of the sun, Luminaria is slowly turning off. Mrs. Culpepper remembers the note Morgan brought, and the boy prepares to embark on a journey beyond the fog. Only the house of the three Luminaria sisters can survive. What they don't imagine is who those three women really are.
