Maria Antònia Oliver wrote this epistolary novel, previously unpublished, based on the letters she and her partner, fellow writer Jaume Fuster, exchanged while he was doing his military service on the island of Cabrera, where they moved him for political reasons. The love story of the two protagonists, written under the pseudonyms of Olívia Guillot and Yus Picó, intertwines emotions, longing and anger for the separation imposed with the portrait of a gray country, at the end of the sixties, with freedom and language locked under lock and key.
