Doctor Simonetta Brey investigates the strange death of two members of a family in the countryside of Menorca. If in Premonition revenge gave birth to a criminal, in this novel it will be jealousy. Simonetta Brey has settled in Menorca, works as a family doctor and maintains a relationship with the fisherman Pau Martí, her landlord. During a home visit to the Tudurí Tower, she learns of the tragic death of Aleksander, the grandson of the Dolz Tudurí family, at only eighteen months old, supposedly a sudden death, but Simonetta has her doubts. When, after a short time, Marianne, the boy's mother, also dies under very strange circumstances, no one believes that it was a coincidence. Together with her nurse, Sergi, and in collaboration with the policeman Darío Ferrer, Simonetta does her own investigation.
