Poder migrante
por qué necesitas aliarte con lo que temes
Serrano, Violeta
The cities are populated by strangers to whom we almost only address in delayed. Technological evolution has facilitated our daily lives at the same time that it has produced the dehumanization of communication between people through thematic bubbles: we survive isolated in the midst of people who fear us, and vice versa. We believed we were supportive, open and progressive until discomfort knocked on the doors of our neighborhoods, schools and hospitals. How do we react to the unknown? Why are we afraid of what is different? To what extent do we tolerate the stranger? Starting from the author's own migrant experience, this essay is a journey through the fractures of Spain and its possible bandages: immigration, depopulation, ultras reactions, forced coexistence and isolation as a way of life. A work that dismantles the clichés that surround migrants and reinforces the idea that, in the near future, transnational identities will be the norm and not the exception.
