Poesía completa
Vilariño, Idea
Although the author has maintained an almost monastic attitude throughout her life with respect to the dissemination of her work, today she is considered one of the living classics of Latin American letters. Her poetry -scarce and sober, slowly matured- always travels through extremes, tense, as if cornered by an intimate urgency. Perhaps the subject that most frequently appears in this poetry is death, but a death that beats and is experienced in the splendor of life, in the blows of love, in the onslaught of sex, in the dialectic between absence and memory. The reading of these poems forms an intense and lasting experience and supposes the discovery of one of the most forceful and secretly beautiful voices of contemporary poetry.
