Poesía experimental

Cummings, Edward Estlin

E. E. Cummings is known, above all, for being one of the most daring, controversial and complex poets in American literature of the first half of the 20th century. None of this prevented him, however, from receiving praise from critics and esteem from readers, to such an extent that, in the 1960s, he became the second most widely read poet in the United States, ahead of only Robert Frost. Interest in his work has not waned since then. This bilingual anthology, which is based on the most recent and refined collection of the complete works of E. E. Cummings, includes a wide selection of both the poems he published during his lifetime and those that were initially unpublished and were collected after his death. . The translation, for its part, aims to reflect, in addition to the content of the texts, the style and peculiar compositional technique of its author, which is found in the essence of his poetic activity.
