¿Por qué la música?

Why, wherever there is humanity, is there music? Why does it make us dance? And why does it move us sometimes? What does pure music express? Does it represent something? And what is beauty? Is it in things or in us? Why do all human beings create music, and also stories and images? What do these imaginary worlds tell us about the real world? This book starts from a banal definition -"music is the art of sounds"- and explores the very last consequences of it. In his course, he answers the simplest and most profound questions we ask ourselves about music and the arts. The simplest questions are usually the deepest. There is no book on music or the arts that presents them in a more serene and original way.
