Por qué y cómo se hace la ciencia
Puigdomènech, Pere
Science is a complex and highly diverse activity that involves millions of people and has an impact on the way we think, the way governments make decisions and the way we live. This text tries to answer why society makes efforts in scientific research, how it is investigated, who does it and where it is done. It tries to describe the evolution of science in history, the multiple functions that it fulfills in our societies and what is its internal functioning. Today's science is a complex world, with strict rules that give it credibility before society, but it is undergoing a great transformation as a result of its influence on today's society itself due to globalization and the digitization of its activities. All this does not stop raising conflicts and revealing weaknesses, inherent in all human works. Throughout the book, topics that are the subject of discussions among specialists will be presented.
