Primavera en llamas
casi cien haikus
Iturralde, Joxemari
This book is a selection of haikus that have been written over almost fifty years. Haiku is a form of poetry of Japanese origin that requires compliance with a series of strict rules that require special dedication and skill. Although sometimes its reading can be enigmatic and difficult to access, its repeated enjoyment can become a great prize for the reader once that initial difficulty has been overcome, which unsuspecting readers sometimes feel as an annoying obstacle. On the other hand, it can also serve as a quick gateway to the vast and unfathomable world of poetry for readers who have never tried, for various reasons, to enter that unknown universe. The most recent poems that have been included in this anthology were written during the pandemic, when people had to lock themselves up at home, and the unexpectedness of the situation made it impossible to predict whether this punishment would last a day, a week, a month, a year or perhaps, ten years... The title of the book refers to that precise moment.
