Quemando chasca
Navarro Rioboó, Sara
At what point do children's obsession with animals and old women who are capable of killing them shamelessly come together? Burning clicks is a set of stories in which characters close to the marginal wander and are observed from that otherness they inhabit: children escape from idealized childhood and old women from senescence by default in which they are locked up. Embracing the equally marginal nature of the short story genre and differentiated by styles and themes, these stories are assimilated to the burning of the remains of pruning: branches of different trees that, separated from each other, are useless, but when gathered and thrown to the fire they become a bonfire and in this way they manage to eliminate waste, provide warmth, be the center of a home or put together a book.
