Remake

Remake

Galindo, Bruno

A film director whose latest films no longer have the impact of previous ones makes a living making corporate videos. One day he was commissioned to shoot for an insurance company and, during the recording, a group of strangers sneaked into a shot, recreating the famous scene of the Odessa staircase from the movie Battleship Potemkin, and then they disappeared. What happened is part of the sign of the times: recreational acts - sabotages with a nostalgic imprint - are everyday in a society that seems to have given up on the future and lives seduced by the past. These are days when, as if it were a great historical reenactment, everyone indulges in the remake. Who wants to live something new when you can relive something already known?
