Sed

December 1999, a sun-drenched island somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico. In a luxurious hotel by the sea is Renata, convalescing from an operation and divided between two worlds: wealth and extreme poverty, the past and the uncertain future, the beauty of the world and the tragedies of a century that reaches her finish. During her stay, a deep thirst overwhelms her: thirst for pleasure, freedom, health. Meanwhile, the island prepares to celebrate the arrival of the new century and the birth of the son of an opulent marriage. For three days and three nights, a dazzling chorus of characters will coincide in this imposing human fresco traversed by suffering and euphoria. Artists, writers, activists, drag queens, a judge and a young man who loses the battle against AIDS; children immersed in innocent games, adults blinded by hatred, refugees from other islands... all unknowingly share an inner conflict and the inescapable sea that surrounds them.
