Set dies de Gràcia

Set dies de Gràcia

Gràcia, Carla

The Revolt of the Fifth of 1870 was one of many wars that a people has faced to reveal themselves against laws that only protect the interests of a few that shatter the lives of the majority. The uprising took place in several cities in Spain such as Malaga, Béjar and Salamanca. In Catalonia, it was longer and bloodier. The town of Gràcia, besieged by cannons and troops firing from Carrer Provença and Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona, was the main stronghold of the resistance. Against the legend that a woman without surnames or past was the voice of the people and that, in the most cruel moment of the conflict, she continued ringing the bells of the Clock Tower of the town to keep the fight alive. Who was this woman? What reasons led her to take part in that war? Through the seven days of revolt we will discover Marianna's life and her secrets. Because the story of a family can be as turbulent as that of a village.
