This book brings together the poetic work of Álvaro Mutis from The Balance (1947) to A Tribute and Seven Nocturnes (1986). Its fabulous character flows through it, the torrent of the living and the imaginary, the voice that sings of the journey, that recreates the battles and lives of other men, that collects the vestiges of love, that sets sail for death, a voice almost ancestral that celebrates the lost wonder.
