Tecgnosis

Tecgnosis

de sapiens a la singularidad

Taranilla García, David

Has cultural evolution replaced biological evolution? What characteristics does this cultural evolution have? Does the human species have its own adaptive system? According to the author, yes, and he has called it techgnosis. This book tries to contribute a new vision of cultural transmission. Doing a quick review of basic concepts and explaining our biological and cultural origin, we investigate the specific adaptive system of our species, based on the creation and transmission of knowledge. An attempt is made to explain why this change occurred and what consequences it produced, its origin and characteristics, and also the relationship that may exist between social behavior and our behavior as a species.
