Territorio de luz

Tsushima, Yuko

A librarian witnesses how, along with winter, her marriage also ends. Her husband has asked her to separate, and she is forced to start a new life with her two-year-old daughter, who she does not understand why things cannot continue as before. Lost in a vast Tokyo, the woman rents an apartment full of windows in which she will take refuge for a year, trying to escape the darkness that haunts her despite being surrounded by light. A light that takes different forms: that of the sun that enters through the windows, that that illuminates the park, that of the distant fireworks, that of the dazzling waters of the floods, the street lamps and some mysterious explosions. A light that will accompany her as she faces lonely motherhood, social condemnation, disappointment and the devastation of unrequited love.
