For the first time, all the stories of the Delta bring together in its entirety the short story that Sebastià Juan Arbó dedicated to the singular and disappeared world that saw him born. These are narratives published decades ago in books, others almost unknown that appeared in the press and also unpublished pieces of great literary and testimonial value. The philologist Joan Antoni Forcadell has taken care of this volume, which is the claim of the creator of a powerful and magnetic myth, and which tells us about human drama in the framework of a splendid landscape. Stories such as "Felita" or "Reapers and Swallows" evoke the harshness of the lives of the humble classes of the time, with a special emphasis on the rupture of innocence and situations of exploitation, while the most picturesque note and kind we find her in tales like "The Cursed Fig Tree".
