Tren a Maratea

While Naples is half-confined by a fit of rage, an old man returns to the village where he was born and from where he left thirty years ago, at the time of the war, to join the partisans. He returns to say goodbye to life, after not wanting to know anything about it from the day he emigrated, the day after the victory. On the last train journey to Maratea, her hometown, she meets a university professor with whom she will share the final stretch of her return and the essential memories of her life, between the discomfort with official history and the attraction of childhood memory; between the force of the desire to live and the inevitable imminence of death.
