Edelmira hates two things above all else: milk cream and her name. The first manages to get rid of it with an old strainer, but of the second there is no way to get rid of it. So when her father announces that she will spend the summer with her grandfather in Marabilia, Edelmira can't believe it. It was a terrible few months! But everything changes in the boring village with the arrival of two children, André and Daniel, with whom he embarks on risky expeditions in search of crooked corsairs, fleets of flamingos and cats with dinosaur tails.
