Tu precariedad y cada día la de más gente

Tu precariedad y cada día la de más gente

desigualdad y ansiedad en el siglo XXI

Castro, Patricia

Inequality is rising around the world. The poorest half of the population barely owns 2% of the world's wealth. However, the richest 10% of the planet's population accumulates 76% of all wealth. We are approaching the inequality of the early 20th century. We live in an increasingly polarized world, in which a few accumulate most of the wealth, while the rest of the population lives on the crumbs. In addition to a focus on inequality in general terms, Patricia Castro brings a feminist perspective, a critical vision of the global chain of work, with special mention of the environmental crisis. In a two-speed world, where a few accumulate the vast majority of resources, power and money, and a vast majority of the dispossessed survive as best they can, discontent and anxiety are increasingly evident. Citizens must weather one crisis after another as they watch -with few exceptions- their governments postpone their needs indefinitely.
