Un elefante bajo el parasol blanco

Anne-Frédérique Noël, the young daughter of a French landowner in Indochina, must leave her home in Laos for Japan with one of her father's associates, who seeks both to protect her from war and to strengthen their business alliances. What no one suspects is that Fred is keeping a big secret that pushes her not to return home when the car she is traveling in has an accident. Far from her family, she decides to join Kun, the servant who accompanies her, on a dangerous adventure that will take them through Laos in search of a new life. She will discover love, she will find her own identity and will end up fully immersed in that war that seemed so far away from the heart of the jungle.
