Un mundo feliz

Un mundo feliz

Huxley, Aldous

A happy world is a classic of 20th century literature, a grim metaphor for a possible future. The novel describes a world in which the worst predictions of capitalism have finally been fulfilled: the gods of consumption and comfort triumph, and the world is divided into ten zones that are apparently safe and stable. However, essential human values have been sacrificed, and the inhabitants are created in vitro with a technique conceived in the image and likeness of an assembly line.
