London, in the near future. Technological advances have made police work much easier, but they have not been able to prevent the plague of serial killers that proliferate everywhere. One of the cases that most worries the authorities is that of the successive deaths of potentially dangerous men who were part of a secret state crime prevention program. Chief Inspector Isadora Jakowicz (or Jake, as everyone knows her) is an expert in criminal psychology who accepts the challenge of catching an extremely intelligent man with strong philosophical convictions who goes by the name of Wittgenstein.
