Abu Jafar is 16 years old and has a head full of sparrows. He lives in 12th century Valencia, and from the ruined 'fondac' where he grew up he imagines the world as a wonderful place, full of fascinating people and where everything is possible. That's why he decides to leave home and embark on a journey into the unknown, a fantastic adventure through strange lands where he will meet all sorts of quirky characters and run dangers that are often out of this world.
