Hérnandez-Jason, Beth

Is a lecturer with the Merritt Writing Program at the University of California, Merced. Her dissertation examines the work of John Rechy through the lens of reader response and reception theories, and also documents the impact his work had and continues to have on transnational literature and everyday readers. Her work has appeared in MELUS, Aztlán, Ventana Abierta, Camino Real, and the Recovering the U.S. Hispanic Literary Heritage series.
