She received her PhD on Psychology from the University of Salamanca in 2007 and Master on Gerontology from the same University in 2004. Additionally, she got a Diploma in Teaching in Special Education from the University of Salamanca in 2009 and a Degree in Neuropsychology and Dementia at the European University Miguel de Cervantes in 2011.Currently she is Assistant Professor in the Department of Developmental Psychology and Education at the University of Salamanca. She received the honor mention for her Doctoral thesis defended in 2007 entitled “Personality traits, emotions and temporal experience: contribution of psychological resistance in advanced old age”. She has written several articles and has participated in different national and international research projects. Among her recent publications are Coping with health problems in elderly people (Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology) and Preliminary Results of the Spanish Validation of the SMMSE (REGG). Her research focuses on psychological resilience, advanced old age, emotional well-being in older people and their caregivers, and education and learning in old age.
