The author reconfigures the traditional reading of Vallejo only as a poet of pain and human suffering, and offers new ways of understanding the relationship between poetry and politics.

Este libro sostiene que la poesía de César Vallejo anuncia el acontecimiento, como momento de irrupción de una verdad que desestabiliza el estado habitual de la realidad. Estudia la emergencia de un sujeto que afirma una verdad que excede la ley, interrumpe la repetición hegemónica, afirma la solidaridad universal y defiende las "causas perdidas" a pesar del fracaso político.
