Recent research has challenged our view of the Abrahamic religious traditions as unilaterally intolerant and incapable of recognizing otherness in all its diversity and richness; but a diachronic and comparative study of how these traditions deal with otherness is yet to appear. Investigaciones recientes han puesto en tela de juicio nuestra visión de las tradiciones religiosas abrahámicas como unilateralmente intolerantes e incapaces de reconocer la alteridad en toda su diversidad y riqueza; pero aún no ha aparecido un estudio diacrónico y comparativo de cómo estas tradiciones tratan la alteridad. Este volumen pretende contribuir a dicho estudio presentando diferentes tratamientos de la alteridad en el pensamiento medieval y moderno temprano.
