The essays in this book reflect the range of different structures and decorations found on Islamic manuscripts. They are written by scholars and conservators who have taught courses over the last 30 years at the Library and Archives of the Seminario Barbarigo in Montefiascone, Italy. The courses and these papers are focussed on the binding structures of the historical books held in the Library’s collection.
