This publication presents research on the first peasants of the Linear Pottery group in Brandenburg, northern Germany. The region is of particular interest because it is situated in the absolute periphery of the Linear Pottery area. The volume combines the results on settlement features, pottery and stone tools with archaeobotanical and archaeozoological studies on the diet and economy of these Neolithic people with focus on the site of Lietzow 10. This holistic approach fulfils a research desideratum, because the state of knowledge about such enclaves of agricultural life in the midst of the settlement area of forager groups is still incomplete.

Esta publicación presenta investigaciones sobre los primeros campesinos del grupo de la cerámica lineal de Brandeburgo, en el norte de Alemania. La región reviste especial interés por estar situada en la periferia absoluta del área de la cerámica lineal. El volumen combina los resultados sobre las características de los asentamientos, la cerámica y las herramientas de piedra con estudios arqueobotánicos y arqueozoológicos sobre la dieta y la economía de estas gentes del Neolítico, centrándose en el yacimiento de Lietzow 10. Este enfoque holístico responde a un desiderátum de la investigación, ya que el estado de los conocimientos sobre estos enclaves de vida agrícola en medio de la zona de asentamiento de los grupos forrajeros es aún incompleto.
