Poesia dispersa pròpia i traduïda 1896-1924

This second volume of the critical edition of the complete work, edited by Professor Jaume Coll (UB), complements that of Poetry Books 1904-1924, which appeared in November 2016. The contribution of this volume is huge: introduces a thousand poems that until now were unknown and had never been collected in book. These are both Carner's original poems (published in the press, presented at literary awards or sent to friends and kept in letters) and the poems he translated and disseminated in this first period. The volume allows us to follow the poetic evolution of the Prince of Poets, tracing from one end to the other the first maturity until his forties. The edition, in which each poem appears with a critical apparatus, also contains the indispensable notes for the identification of the circumstances and the people addressed in the verses.
