I got lost in the center of the city, I took a photo of a Chinese restaurant called Hongkongas, I passed three times in front of an increasingly dark park where the starlings were screaming. I tried to make a video of the tree from which they screamed their evening song, but what came out did not convey the power of the urban sunset, with all its possibilities, its enthusiasm and its chaos. Then the idea came to me that the true artist takes a detail, in this infinite world there is no choice but to discriminate, but everything that is outside the frame beats in the detail, the frame itself generates a true, harmonious and complete world around. It was getting too late at night. I deleted the failed video, I wondered if it is impossible to transmit to others intact the sensations that assail us, I felt a sudden and great desire to live, I had dinner in a vaguely Japanese restaurant and went to sleep at a bed & breakfast at the bottom of a alley. All the beds in the world are my bed, I noted in the notebook.
