This volume originates from the Maritime Archaeology Research Exchange (M.A.R.E.) Online Lecture Series, which was established to promote the work of graduate students and early career researchers in maritime archaeology. Between 2021 and 2023, twenty-five emerging scholars presented their research through this monthly lecture series. The contributions gathered in this volume are a selection of those presentations, highlighting both the diversity of maritime archaeology in the Mediterranean region and the wide range of methodological and theoretical approaches embraced by a new generation of maritime archaeologists.
